2006 APPLICATION PROCESSFor the past 15 years the New Hampshire Fire Explorer Training Academy, in coordination with the Daniel Webster Council, has provided an exceptional opportunity for local youth with an interest in firefighting. This academy is an intense week long residential program for young males and females to experience life as a firefighting recruit. During the week cadets will travel to the New England Association of Fire Chiefs Exhibition in Springfield, Massachusetts for a showcase of fire and EMS apparatus, technology and innovations. Upon return to the New Hampshire Fire Academy cadets will participate in firefighting classes. Included below is the scheduled curriculum for the 2006 academy. Each cadet is assigned to an educational track based on the number of years he/she has attended the academy. After 4 weeks of attendance a cadet will have completed all courses for the NFPA Firefighter Level IA. Please download and print this application packet (4 pages total) and medical form (4 pages total). Included you will find an application for the 2006 New Hampshire Fire Explorer Training Academy. In order to apply for the academy you must complete and return all of the paperwork including an application and medical form. Unfortunately we must limit attendance to 60 cadets each year. Therefore we strongly encourage you to return your paperwork as soon as possible. One of the acceptance criteria is the date your paperwork is received. Completed applications that are returned earlier will have a better chance for acceptance. As you review all of the materials please read carefully and note all of the instructions and deadlines. There is important information on every page. Full tuition must be submitted with your completed paperwork. Group payments are not accepted. Each application must have a single check/credit card payment in the amount of $250.00 or $260.00 attached. Any applications received without tuition or incomplete may result in the applicant being denied. The medical form is the only paperwork that may be returned at a later date. Finally, the staff of the New Hampshire Fire Explorer Training Academy anticipates another successful year filled with great knowledge, teambuilding and fun. We look forward to seeing you there!!
